Matthew Harris, Dentist

Dr. Matthew Harris grew up in Ridgeland, MS, and attended Mississippi State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in 2006. Dr. Harris continued his studies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2010.

Dr. Harris worked for two years in a community health center dental clinic in North Carolina and is currently working at Happy Smiles in Meridian MS, 2012- present and joined the team at Mississippi Smiles Dentistry in 2015. He is a member of the Mississippi Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Harris lives with his wife Allyson and four children John, Ava, Noah and Eden. He enjoys sports, hunting, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Favorite TV Show The wildly popular, Breaking Bad.

Favorite Restaurant Dr. Tiner is a great cook. If you are looking for a delicious meal, ask for her lamb with chimichurri recipe. It is fancy and delicious.

Lauren Crenshaw, Dentist

Dr. Lauren Crenshaw  was raised in Indianola, MS. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi where she majored in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Doctor Crenshaw is passionate about each patient’s experience in the dental office. It is her commitment that patients leave happier and healthier each time they visit our office.

Dr. Crenshaw and her husband are proud parents of son, Fin and two daughters, Tyner and Mila. Dr. Crenshaw and her family are active members of Saint Mark’s United Methodist Church where she teaches kindergarten Sunday school class. The family spends their time on the weekends traveling for soccer and baseball with Fin and competitive cheerleading for the girls.

Favorite Author Dr. Crenshaw's favorite author is intellectual giant, C.S. Lewis - known for writing over 30 distinguishable books, including the classic - The Chronicles of Narnia.

Hobby With three growing children, Dr. Crenshaw's favorite hobby is watching her kids compete in their various sports.

Preston McAlexander, Dentist

Dr. Preston McAlexander grew up in Holly Springs, MS and attended the University of Mississippi where he received his undergraduate degree in 1999. He continued his studies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and was awarded the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004. While at the School of Dentistry, he served as student body president and representative to the American Dental Association.

Dr. McAlexander worked for five years in a community health center dental clinic as part of the National Health Service Corps. He is a member of the Mississippi Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

At the health center dental clinic, Dr. McAlexander was able to see first-hand the impact that quality dental services can have on a family. He is proud to continue his work to bring great dental care to all children, regardless of their family income.

Dr. McAlexander enjoys life outside the office with his wife and two kids. He is an active member of his local United Methodist Church.

Four Legged Family Shih Tzu named Roux, and two cats named Joe Exotic and Carol Baskin (adopted in 2020, of course).

Sport Dr. Mac loves to hit the slopes when he gets the chance.

Teleshia Johnson, Dentist

Dr. Teleshia Johnson is a passionate, purpose-driven dentist who views her work as more than a career, it's her ministry. Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science from Tougaloo College before going on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Johnson is a proud member of the Mississippi Dental Association, the Mississippi Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Johnson believes deeply in the power of a healthy smile and is passionate about creating healthier smiles, relieving pain, and educating patients on how to maintain good oral health. When it comes to working with kids, she describes every day as a different adventure; one where she gets to transform what can feel like a scary experience into something fun, magical, and memorable. Whether she's pretending to be a superhero, playing Barbie, or simply using her imagination to help kids feel comfortable and safe, Dr. Johnson brings her whole heart to every visit. Tianyun Fei, Dentist

Dr. Tianyun Fei brings a global perspective and a lifelong love of dentistry to the Mississippi Smiles family. Born and raised in China, Dr. Fei earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Wuhan University before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A proud member of the American Dental Association, she was also honored with the Dr. Claude A. Adams, Jr. & Mrs. Grace P. Adams Dental Merit Scholarship, a recognition of both her dedication and her exceptional promise as a clinician.

Dr. Fei's love of dentistry started young. As a child, she adored the clean, fresh feeling after a dental cleaning. That early fascination blossomed into a genuine passion for the field. She is especially drawn to working with kids because of their bright smiles, fun energy, and one-of-a-kind personalities. Her tip for healthy smiles is simple and timeless: 'Brush and floss in a correct way every day!'

Dr. Cayla Dickerson is a true Mississippi girl, born and raised in Madison, MS, and proud to be serving her home state with the Mississippi Smiles family. She earned her degree in Biochemistry from Mississippi State University before going on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Dickerson has always wanted to help people, and she's loved witnessing people smile since she was little. This passion led straight to dentistry! When it comes to kids, she loves helping make their dental appointments feel less scary, turning what can be an anxious experience into a positive one. Her tip for keeping little smiles healthy is simple and classic: 'Brushing and flossing 2x a day keeps the cavities away!'

Jason Leach, Dentist

Dr. Jason Leach was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He is proud of his Alma Mater, Ole’ Miss, having earned both his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi.

Dr. Leach believes in providing the children he serves with the very same treatment he would want his own kids to receive. By all the smiling faces in his dental chair, we think he is succeeding!

A leading dentist in our mobile dentistry outreach program, Dr. Leach is passionate about helping families access critical preventative services for their children. This program partners with our local schools and Head Starts to help improve health outcomes for the children they support.

In the mobile program and at the office, Dr. Leach encourages healthy habits that will prevent tooth decay in Mississippi children.

Cayce Wallace, Dentist

Dr. Cayce Wallace is a board-certified pediatric dentist and has been setting the highest standards in kids dentistry since 2010. Born and raised in Mississippi, Dr. Wallace attended Mississippi College where he played baseball and received a B.S. degree in Medical Biology.

He attended Dental School at the University of Mississippi and completed specialty training at the Batson’s Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. Dr. Wallace was named Chief Resident and became a diplomate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Wallace has focused on developing his skills to combine exceptional dentistry in a fun and relaxed environment. He believes that good oral health requires educating the child and parent at an early age. He brings passion and energy to provide the kids of the community the service they deserve.

Dr. Wallace is an active member of many of the leading dental organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association.

Favorite Band Dr. Wallace has a passion for music. He loves listening to music and going to live shows. His favorite band to jam to is The Grateful Dead.

Favorite Place to Travel Dr. Wallace is a kid at heart. He loves to travel to Disneyland. He says it is for the kids, but we are not sure it isn’t really for him.

Favorite Outdoor Activity A few years ago Dr. Wallace was invited to a friendly game of pickleball. Now he is hooked and plays every chance he gets.

Anne Howell, Dentist

Dr. Anne Howell was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She attended Mississippi State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Howell pursued her passion for dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Inspired by her love for the medical field, Dr. Howell explored various healthcare careers before discovering her passion for dentistry while shadowing local dentists. The combination of hands-on care and the opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives led her to fall in love with the profession.

Her top dental tip is simple yet essential: eat healthy foods and brush your teeth twice a day to maintain a bright and healthy smile!
